Devil’s Lake Fishing Report for the week of May 28th to June 3rd, 2018
The Devil’s Lake Fishing Report for the week of May 28th to June 3rd, 2018. Brought to you by Mitchell’s Guide Service. The largest, most experienced and professional full time Guide Service serving the Devils Lake basin.
The fishing this week was dominated by the weather. At Devil’s Lake here we had some beautiful days with excellent fishing and we also had a couple of days at the end of the week with high winds and rain. While fish were caught throughout the week by our clients and some very good fish at times, Mother Nature did play a role in how the bite went. All in all it was a typical May / June week of fishing with a variety of conditions. Good limits of walleyes were taken, some larger walleyes were released and a few giant pike were caught. Stable weather presentations included trolling crankbaits, spinners, pitching jigs and casting crankbaits. All week long the bobber bite was strong and our largest northern a 22 pounder was taking on a bobber rig with a 16th ounce jig.
We at Mitchells Guide Service have limited days available here in June. Our expanded staff of guides are available on short notice for day trips and two and three day guided packages. MGS also offers full guided packages with lodging and meals included. The Mitchell’s Guide Service booking number is 701-662-5996 extension 1.
